House of Ferro
The first and oldest of the noble houses, as well as the most loyal to the royal family. Those in the minor houses of house Ferro act as guards and security for transports in the byron empire. Those of the main house act as the elite guards to the royal family themselves. They value honor and tradition above all else, even going so far as to give their lives gladly to protect their wards.
Defense armor cielnova, the Ironclad paladins
The main family of the house Ferro and those considered worthy by the main house use defense armored cielnova exclusively. Their armor is made of a special astormantian alloy which is incredibly durable, almost as much as it is expensive to produce. Their armor is therefore earned, with the more pieces a pilot has, the higher their rank. A unit equipped with 2 pauldrons, 2 gauntlets, Radar fin, chest and helmet armor are selected to be royal guards for the royal family.
Each of the cielnova defense armor has a special meaning to the house of steel.
- Chest armor: represents the house of steel’s loyalty to the royal family, which is proudly displayed by them in their cockpit. This is the first piece of armor to be given.
- Shoulder armor: the two prongs on the shoulder armor represent the house of steel’s devotion to the crown and people, a burden they gladly shoulder. These are the second and third pieces of armor to be given.
- Gauntlets: the clawed gauntlets are meant to symbolize an outreached hand to their allies and a crushing grip to their foes. Due to their design the gauntlets are not designed to hold guns, but to wield melee weapons with the help of magnetism. These are the fourth and fifth armor pieces to be given.
- Helmet and Radar Fin: the final and most important pieces of armor to be given. The helmet acts as proof of countless battles and unwavering dedication to the crown and people of the Byron Empire. The Radar Fin also acts as a personal communication line to the royal family, and more importantly the queen herself.
Upon obtaining all pieces of the armor, as proof of their new status, they are bequeathed a melee weapon of their choice. These weapons are made by the finest smiths employed by the royal family, and then personally given to them by the queen herself.. So important are these weapons, that in the event of their theft or destruction, the bearer will stop at nothing to retrieve them. If their weapon is destroyed in battle, the wielder is honor-bound to defeat the destroyer before a new weapon will be forged for them, or die trying.
